You say Sardinia and you cannot fail to mention the inimitable sea of Baunei, suggestive colors reachable by sea or through splendid roads, but let’s go in order 🙂

We wake up early, a hearty breakfast awaits us, now essential to be able to cover these distances every day, final preparations and we jump in the saddle. The air is crisp but the sun is already heating up the day. Today we will cross some of the roads traveled in the Giro della Sardegna 2017 and 2018, including the Genna Silana pass on the famous ss125, climb traveled by the Giro d’Italia in 2017.

The blue sky suggests a perfect day, so we head towards Desulo, a historic center known for its Cortes Apertas and the exquisite local products. Then we meet Orgosolo with its murals, the whole area is rich in vines of various grapes, among these those used for the Nepente di Oliena stand out.

We continue towards Dorgali, face the climb and head towards Baunei, an always welcoming and enchanted town. Time to arrange the bags and we relax for a well-deserved rest.

The rental and use of the e-bike requires the knowledge and unconditional acceptance by the user of this regulation, of the rates, of the opening and closing times of Bike Green Group Srls, manager of the asset based in Villasimius in Via Matteotti N ° 13 (VAT number 03808560928).

  1. ) The renter declares to collect the bicycle and all the rented material in perfect working order and maintenance. Any damage must be reported and reported to the hotel reception.
  2. ) To obtain the rental of a bicycle, the user must be of age, must fill in all the fields of the request, make the payment by credit card, collect the key, the helmet at the reception. For electric bicycles rented for several days, the renter must also collect the battery charger with the key to extract it.
  3. ) The use of the bicycle presupposes the physical fitness and technical expertise of whoever intends to ride it; therefore, the user by renting the bicycle declares to be equipped with adequate capacity and appropriate competence, without making any reservations. In the case of use by minors, by completing the form and making payment, the parent/custodian or guardian of the minor assumes all the responsibilities indicated in this contract and by the civil code and, consequently, authorizes the minor to use the bicycle under the conditions provided for in this regulation.
  4. ) The bicycle is to be used exclusively as a means of transport and must be treated with care, common sense and diligence in order to avoid damage to both the bicycle itself and its accessories. The use of the bicycle to carry out commercial activities is prohibited, nor can it be transferred to other subjects for use.
  5. ) The user is responsible for the bicycle and/or e-bike until it is returned to the hotel reception, the rental will therefore be considered concluded when the bicycle is padlocked in the special parking lot and all its accessories will be returned to the hotel receptionist including padlock keys. If the rented bicycle is electric, the battery charger and key to extract it must also be returned; he is also responsible for damage caused to himself, to the bicycle, to third parties and things during the use of the vehicle. No form of compensation can be requested from the renter and the hotel.
  6. ) During the rental, the User does not enjoy any form of insurance nor is the bicycle and/or e-bike covered by liability insurance. The User is therefore required to comply with the rules of the Highway Code. The Manager and the hotel decline any form of responsibility in the event of improper use of the vehicle or failure to comply with the rules of the Highway Code.
  7. ) The renter can carry out checks on the Users during the use of the bicycles and can request their return if he recognizes the conditions of improper use of the vehicle. The hirer may refuse the rental to people in a state of intoxication or under the influence of drugs (in accordance with articles 186-187 of the Highway Code) and for other reasons at the sole discretion of the hirer himself.
  8. ) In case of loss of the keys, of the bicycle accessories or for damages, the renter will ask the Customer for the sum necessary for the original restoration of the bicycle on the basis of what is indicated in this contract or, in the absence of the price list, of the renter’s estimate and/ o spare parts supplier; in the event of total theft, the renter must compensate the renter for the amount established in euros: 300.00 for each city bike; 700.00 for each aluminum mountain bike or racing bike; 3,000.00 for each carbon road bike or mountain bike; 1,500.00 for each e-bike city bike; 3,500.00 for each e-bike mountain bike. 20.00 for each padlock; 50.00 for each helmet; 100.00 for each battery key, 100.00 for each battery charger.
  9. ) The bicycle must be returned in compliance with the times indicated at the hotel reception. The bicycle is considered returned only if locked with a padlock in the appropriate parking lot and all its accessories returned to the hotel receptionist, including the keys to the padlock. If the rented bicycle is electric, the battery charger and key to extract it must also be returned; the return of the bicycle to the parking lot cannot be considered without prior communication or in any case not motivated by exceptional cases, it will be considered as a crime of theft and therefore reported to the Judicial Authorities. The early return of the bicycle does not give the right to any refund.
  10. ) The renter may ask the renter for an intervention to collect the bicycle even in the event of a breakdown, the cost of which will be equal to 20.00 euros within a radius of 10 km from the office and 1.00 euros for each km. additional; however, the charterer is not obliged to provide the requested intervention, therefore failure to intervene cannot be a cause of breach of contract. It is in the renter’s interest to collect the bicycle and only momentary contingencies can make the intervention impossible.
  11. ) The renter must pay the relative payment from the moment the rental begins until he shows up for the closure of the rental agreement, in addition to any charges for damages, total or partial theft.
  12. ) In the event of theft of the bicycle and/or e-bike, the User must present the renter with a copy of the report made to the competent bodies and pay the amount equal to the value of the bicycle object of the theft (see Art. 8), which will be returned in case of discovery or recovery of the vehicle itself. Although not mentioned in this regulation, the relationship between the parties (contractors) is governed by the provisions of the civil code. For any dispute arising between the Parties, the competent court is that of Cagliari.

He also declares that he has read and understood the rental conditions and the regulation for the provision of the bicycle rental service which constitutes a user contract for all legal purposes, the contractual conditions of which he declares to know and accept, with specific reference the consequences incumbent on the renter in the event of damage caused to third parties and/or to the rented vehicle during the rental agreement and any theft of the vehicle. THE RENTER also declares to be informed, pursuant to Legislative Decree 196/2003 that:

a) The personal data provided will be processed for institutional purposes connected or instrumental to the management of the service;

b) The processing of the personal data provided will be carried out using computerized and manual methods and in any case in such a way as to guarantee the protection of the confidentiality of the data;

c) The provision of data is mandatory both in order to be able to access the service and to allow the Service Manager to be able to manage subsequent procedural obligations; failure to provide the requested data will make it impossible to access the service;

d) The data provided may be communicated to other public or private subjects exclusively for procedural fulfillments strictly functional to the pursuit of the purposes referred to in letter a);

e) The RENTER can exercise the rights pursuant to art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003, such as for example cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, blocking of data processed in violation of the law, integration, updating of data, etc.

f) The data controller is Bike Green Group Srls (VAT number 03808560928) based in Villasimius, via Matteotti n. 13 which the RENTAL can apply to enforce the rights referred to in the aforementioned art. 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.
